BSR GPTC Z380.1 - Comments Due by 8 September, 2008

SUBJECT: Public Review Comments Are Due September 8, 2008

The Gas Piping Technology Committee (GPTC) announces the availability of BSR GPTC Z380.1-2009 TR05-01-200x, Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) Appendix G-192-8, for public review and comment. The deadline for comment is September 8, 2008.

The GPTC developed the DIMP Appendix in anticipation of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking issued by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) (Federal Register, Vol. 73, No. 123, Wednesday, June 25, 2008). Please refer to the general and special notes provided on paged 3 of BSR GPTC Z380.1-2009 TR05-01-200x for information on what is covered and its development. The proposed guidance material is subject to further revision based on GPTC letter ballot results and public comments.

All comments must be submitted using the GPTC comment form and must include suggested revisions and reasons (see the comment form instructions). The comment form and any supporting documentation must be submitted to the GPTC Secretary by close of business on September 8, 2008. Where possible, please submit comments via email attaching the MSWord comment form. The GPTC will review, take an action, and respond back to the commenter on all comments.

DIMP NPRM Comment Period Extended to 10/23/08

PHMSA has extended the DIMP NPRM comment period from 09/23/08 until 10/23/08. However, the new date has yet to appear in the Federal Register.
